Mitarbeiter

Die Zimmer von Prof. Karl, dem Sekretariat und den Mitarbeitern befinden sich in der Technologiefabrik im 2. Obergeschoß. Ausgehend vom Haupteingang der Technologiefabrik erreicht man den zweiten Stock entweder mit dem Aufzug oder über die große Treppe. Im 2. Stock von der Treppe aus gesehen nach links in den Gebäudeflügel B gehen und dem Gang bis zu den entsprechenden Zimmern folgen.

Die Zimmer- und Telefonnummern sind der Mitarbeiterliste zu entnehmen!

Poolräume

Bitte bei Fragen zu den CAPP-Poolräumen bitte nur Mitarbeiter von Prof. Karl ansprechen!

Die Poolräume befinden sich im Untergeschoß. Über das große Treppenhaus (kein Aufzug) gelangt man ein Stockwerk tiefer. Dort nach rechts in den Gebäudeflügel A, durch die Tür weiter geradeaus. Unsere Poolräume befinden sich auf der rechten Seite des Ganges in den Zimmern A.U.10 und A.U.12. Der Raum für Studien- und Diplomarbeiter ist Zimmer A.U.14.

Traveling by Car

  • From the North:
    Take highway A5, direction Karlsruhe/Basel. Leave A5 at exit "quot;Karlsruhe-Durlach" and take the first exit towards Karlsruhe to the West. Follow the main road and the signs "Universität". Turn right twice at the Durlacher Tor into the Haid-und-Neu-Straße.
  • From the East:
    Take highway A8, direction Karlsruhe, until you reach the A5. Take A5 in direction "Frankfurt" and leave at exit "Karlsruhe-Durlach". Take the second exit towards Karlsruhe. Follow the instructions as given above.
  • From the South and South-West:
    Take highway A5 in direction "Frankfurt" and leave at exit "Karlsruhe-Durlach". Take the second exit towards Karlsruhe. Follow the instructions as given above.
  • From the North-West:
    Take highway A61 until you reach highway A5, then follow instructions "From the North" below.
You can leave your car directly at the Technologiefabrik at the visitors' parking area.

Traveling by Train

If you plan to travel by train, please consult the timetable of Deutsche Bahn AG by following one of these links: After arriving at Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof take the main exit. To get to Universität Karlsruhe, take either
  • Tram S2 going to Blankenloch/Spöck
  • Tram 4 going to Waldstadt
  • Tram 5 going to Rintheim
and get off at Karl-Wilhem-Platz or Hauptfriedhof. A one-way ticket costs € 2.10. For further information about public transportation in Karlsruhe, please consult the KVV website. You will find additional information regarding traveling in Karlsruhe below.

Traveling by Plane

The next Airports to Karlsruhe are Stuttgart and Frankfurt am Main.
  • Arriving at Stuttgart:

    You can either use public transportation or the air port shuttle which will carry you to the central station in Stuttgart. From there, travel time will be about 60 minutes.

    Please check above ("Traveling by Train") for links to the train schedule; your start points will be either Stuttgart Flughafen (when using public transportation) or Stuttgart Hbf if you use the air port shuttle.

  • Arriving at Frankfurt am Main:

    Some trains to Karlsruhe, but not all, will depart directly at the airport. For others you need to get to the central station first using public transportation. Travel time will be about 90 minutes.

    Please check above ("Traveling by Train") for links to the train schedule; your start points will be either Frankfurt M Flugh. for connections directly from the airport and Frankfurt Main Hbf for connections departing at the central station.

...in Karlsruhe

Karlsruhe has a very good public transportation system. You can choose either taxi, bus, or one of the trams. If you stay in the city center, the best choice is to get on a tram. During office hours, you don't need a schedule because a tram will arrive every 2 to 10 minutes at your station. Karlsruhe's public transportation is organized by the KVV (Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund).

Therefore, with only one ticket you can use all trams and busses. The different tickets will be described here.

Caveats:
  • You have to cancel your ticket when you get on the tram/bus.
  • At the ticket machines, select your ticket (see above) before paying. You can pay with € 0,05 / € 0,10 / € 0,20 / € 0,50 / € 1,- / € 2,- coins or € 5,- / € 10,- / € 20,- notes at the ticket machines.
  • You can also get the single and 24-hour tickets from the tram/bus driver (4-times ticket at machines only).
  • The above prices are valid for trips in the center of Karlsruhe only. The whole region is divided in a number of different zones, so make sure you get the right ticket when exploring the outer regions.
